β β Hello Reader, Years ago I decided to dip my toes into crochet design. I never would have believed then that I could make a career out of it! The first thing ever "designed", not simply crocheted or created, but truly designed completely on my own without using another pattern as a base, was a dog sweater. A far cry from the designs I make today, and yet it remains one of my most popular patterns! People really do love their fur babies. I do too! ππΆβ€οΈ β QUICK & EASY SMALL DOG SWEATERI designed this pattern for my little Yorkshire Terrier fur babies, Jacob & Jackson long before I ever even started Itchin' for some Stitchin'. I was taking a trip to the wilds of Idaho to visit my parent in the winter and my little guys needed coats. Now, before this I had never dressed up my dogs and I know some people are firmly against it. But, Yorkies don't have fur to keep them warm. They have hair like you and me. And they can easily freeze. So, I picked a soft wool blend called Strawberry Fields by Lion Brand and I worked up my very first pattern. β β
β Believe it or not, they actually LOVED their little sweaters and would get anxious when I took them off! If you have a pup in the 10 - poundish range, you may just want to give this easy peasy dog sweater pattern a try! β β This is a free on the blog pattern. If you'd like the PDF you can purchase it individually or get it as part of Crochet Committed Membership. β β
